JourneyRider panniers are made out of .08" thick aluminum. With stainless steel handles and latches one never has to worry about rust. The ss latches have high high quality internal locks and are easy to lock and unlock unlike the less expensive locks. The ss handles are spring loaded so that they stay firm pressed against the sides of the panniers while riding to prevent rattling.

With reinforced TIG welds for durability the rider does not have to worry about his/her boxes coming apart. All models have a recessed aluminum lip at the opening which provides added structural stability in the event of a crash. The lip of the pannier has a rubber seal around it to form a waterproof seal when the lid is attached.

The Darien model features a black powder coated aluminum luggage tie down rack. The panniers also have the bottom outside edge shaved off for added ground clearance when making tight turns.
